Objective To record the heart rate varibility(HRV) time domain indices before, during and after needling Shenmen(HT7) in order to analyze the effect of needdling HT7 on autonomic nerves.MethodsSeventy healthy volunteers received 10 min of the examination of HRV respectively before, during and after needling HT7 by Actiheart electrographic recorder. Then analyzed the time domain indices, including SDNN,RMSSD and HRV triangular index, and compared the changes among the different observating time by Single Factor Repeated Measure Analysis of Variance and K Related Samples Test(SPSS13.0 software).ResultsCompared with those of before needling,SDNN,RMSSD and HRV triangular indexes of during and after needling were elevated(P0.01-0.05).Compared with those of after needing,SDNN,RMSSD and HRV of during needing were decreased(P0.05).ConclusionNeedling HT7 has a certain effect on autonomic nervous function manifests as the rise of HRV,which relates to the mechanism of treating cardiac diseases by the acupoint.
