USB Driver Help

CamNtech products connect to the host computer by means of a standard USB connection. The computer requires some information about the device in order to correctly communicate – this is known as a ‘Driver’.

MotionWatch Driver Help

The MotionWatch 8 and MotionWatch Rugged use a generic USB driver that is provided with all versions of Windows. Ensure that any Windows updates have been applied and then conect the MotionWatch via the USB cable. Windows should detect the device and automatically install the driver with no further intervention. Wait for the ‘USB device ready to use’ confirmation before attempting to use the MotionWatch.

No Connection?

Ensure that the battery is not depleted in the MotionWatch. Fit a new battery by carefully following the procedure in the user guide. Re-connect the MotionWatch and download any data immediately.

It is important to use the USB cable supplied with your MotionWatch as this has a longer connector which ensures a good connection with the device.

A worn or damaged USB cable may give connection problems.

Actiheart 5 Driver Help

The Actiheart 5 uses a certified USB driver. Ensure that you have an internet connection and then connect the Actiheart 5 to the computer via the USB cable. Windows should detect the device and automatically download and install the correct driver from the Windows Update site.

If you do not have an internet connection on the host PC, you may download the drivers package from here. Copy the downloaded file to the host PC and run it to install the drivers.

No Connection?

If you are experiencing problem making a connection, first ensure that the Actiheart 5 battery is charged for at least 2 hours, using a wall-powered USB supply (to prevent interruptions in USB power when your PC may sleep).  After this, you must unplug the Actiheart and re-plug it into your PC before trying to set up using the Actiheart software.  It is important to unplug and re-plug your USB lead before using the “Setup” function in the software.

A worn or damaged USB cable may cause communications problems.

PRO-Diary Driver Help

The PRO-Diary uses a certified USB driver. Ensure that you have an internet connection and then connect the PRO-Diary to the computer via the USB cable. Windows should detect the device and automatically download and install the correct driver from the Windows Update site.

If you do not have an internet connection on the host PC, you may download the drivers package from here. Copy the downloaded file to the host PC and run it to install the drivers.

No Connection?

Ensure that the PRO-Diary battery is charged by charging for at least 20 minutes before attempting to re-connect.

It is important to use the USB cable supplied with your PRO-Diary as this has a longer connector which ensures a good connection with the device.

A worn or damaged USB cable may cause communications problems.

Older PRO-Diaries supplied before mid-2013 may require a firmware update to use Windows 8/10 compatible drivers. Unfortunately as more than 10 years have elapsed since this change, we no longer have the facility to update these PRO-Diaries. Please contact CamNtech in the UK to discuss options.

If you are still unable to connect to the PRO-Diary, please contact us for assistance.

Actiwave Driver Help

The Actiwave Docks use certified USB drivers. Ensure that you have an internet connection and then connect the Actiwave Dock to the computer via the USB cable. Windows should detect the device and automatically download and install the correct driver from the Windows Update site.

If you do not have an internet connection on the host PC, you may download the drivers package from here. Copy the downloaded file to the host PC and run it to install the drivers.

No Connection?

It may be necessary to re-start your computer following driver installation.

A worn or damaged USB cable may cause communications problems.

Older Actiwave Docks supplied before mid-2013 may require a firmware update to use Windows 8/10 compatible drivers. Unfortunately as more than 10 years have elapsed since this change, we no longer have the facility to update these Docks. Please contact CamNtech in the UK to discuss options.

Legacy Driver Help

Legacy CamNtech devices may be installed on older versions of Windows (pre Windows 8/10) though this is not recommended as older versions of Windows are no longer supported by Microsoft.

Actiheart 4

For Windows 8/10 the Actiheart Reader uses certified drivers for Windows 8/10 and the drivers will automatically install when the Actiheart Reader is connected.

If you do not have an internet connection on the host PC, you may download the drivers package from here. Copy the downloaded file to the host PC and run it to install the drivers.

No Connection?

In the Actiheart software, you will need to follow Utilities -> Communications Settings -> Search to configure the software for a newly installed reader.

It may be necessary to re-start your computer following driver installation.

A worn or damaged USB cable may cause communications problems.

Older Actiheart Readers supplied before mid-2013 may require a firmware update to use Windows 8/10 compatible drivers. This is a free-of-charge update provided by CamNtech in the UK.
