Recording ECG and HRV with the Actiwave
The Actiwave's size and weight make them ideal tools for recording ambulatory ECG. The Actiwave range has full ECG waveform recording functionality for two, three or five lead standard configurations across three separate models:
| ECG/EEG – 1 channel unit – suitable for single channel ECG recordings |
| ECG/EEG – 2 channel unit – suitable for three lead ECG |
| ECG/EEG – 4 channel unit – suitable for a five lead ECG |
| 4 channel ECG shown on chest |
All three also offer functionality for EEG; and can be configured to record any combination of ECG/EEG.
The largest Actiwave unit (4channel) weighs only 8.5 grams and is 37x27x8.5mm making all small enough for ambulatory conditions and discrete enough to have the lowest possible impact on patient burden; each recorder can simply be taped or glued to the skin near to the position of the electrodes. The very small size and weight of these units makes them ideal for paediatric and veterinary applications.
ECG recordings are fully exportable as EDF+ files to any third-party software program. Full details on software programmes that are compatible with the Actiwave range are available on the Actiwave Software Page.
